FMCSA Answers Questions about ELD Mandate
Whether they want to or not… from now until mid-December, carriers who are required to implement the latest ELD requirements will be researching what devices and program they will use to stay compliant with the mandate.
Since June of this year, the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) has hosted an ELD Implementation National Tour. The next stop is October 10-11 at a travel center in Virginia. Coincidentally, this event is the same time as the truck stop’s “Driver Appreciation Days” event. It’s debatable how “appreciative” drivers are about having to implement ELD, but nonetheless, they can at least have their questions answered by FMCSA representatives.
