FMCSA ELD REGULATIONS

The FMCSA has ruled that all vehicles over 10,001 pounds that cross state lines or carry over 9 passengers commercially (16 noncommercial) must use an ELD system as of December 18, 2017.  If you installed a certified AOBRD system before December 18, 2017, you can use this system until December 16, 2019.

Basic Requirements of the ELD System

  • Your ELD system must be on the certified list: VIEW LIST
    • Your Rhino Fleet Tracking ELD device is certified under the device name: e-Track Certified
  • Device must integrate with the ECM (Engine Control Module) of the vehicle
  • System must adhere to all rules of the ELD Mandate: FULL MANDATE  – You don’t want to read all of this!)
