Jay D. Rodgers has been and continues to be active in the formation of entrepreneurial enterprises. Additionally, he serves as an advisor to several companies. His involvement normally includes vision, funding, strategic planning, and exit dealings. The following are some of the companies Jay has nurtured to success: Family Staffing Solutions, Inc., Superior Recharge Systems, Inc., Elderly Services, Inc., Smart Start, Inc., Dee Ring, Inc., Tri-C Business Forms, Inc., United Commerce Bank, Physician Staffing Resources, Inc., Healthcare Staff Resources, Inc., and Ranchland, Inc.
After graduating in 1960 from the University of Iowa with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Jay spent eight years with Eastman Kodak before venturing out on his own. In 1993, he completed the three-year Owners/President Management (OPM) Program at Harvard. He has served as a guest lecturer at SMU on “Managing the Entrepreneurial Business” and taught the “Starting Your Own Business” course at the University of North Texas. At 70, Jays’ “give back” is volunteering a great deal of his time to mentor committed entrepreneurs.
David W. Hammer
Board Secretary and Corporate Attorney
David W. Hammer is president of D.W. Hammer & Company, Inc., a company advising sellers on valuing their businesses, positioning them for sale, and negotiating sale terms. His clients have included public companies represented on the New York Stock Exchange, as well as privately held businesses. David is a practicing attorney and licensed certified public accountant. He currently serves as a director of six other privately held companies. David earned his accounting and law degrees from Texas Tech University.

Michael Brown joined Rhino Fleet Tracking in January 2016 as president and COO. He brings to this role 25 years of experience in strategic planning, product development, marketing, and business development. Holding executive leadership positions in fleet tracking and mobile resource management pioneers HighwayMaster, and later Aether Systems, he helped to dramatically grow their product offerings, partnerships, and recurring revenue. Mr. Brown holds a BS in mechanical engineering from Michigan Technological University, and an MBA with high distinction from the University of Michigan Ross School of Business.
Steven Van Ooyen

Steven Van Ooyen’s responsibilities include the day-to-day direction of the company’s technical expertise and advancement in the GPS tracking marketplace. His in-depth understanding of GPS tracking technology has been honed through extensive use, design, development, service and testing. Before joining Rhino Fleet Tracking, Steven led a team of designers and developers transforming Verizon’s legacy financial, time reporting and project management systems into user-friendly and effective web-based applications. Prior to his work at Verizon, Steven designed, maintained and developed networked applications for CTX Mortgage and e-Instruction.
